You have probably heard about the importance of a healthy skin care routine, however, knowing your skin type is even more important. It means you can personalise your skincare routine and use the right products and the right treatment for your skin.
Luckily, we have prepared a simple skincare guide to help you with your daily skincare routine.
If you are one of those lucky ones who have normal skin type, it means your skin is well hydrated, has no or few imperfections, visible pores, any irritations or redness. However, even with well-nourished skin, it's very important to have a regular skincare routine.
Oily skin can be usually caused by several reasons, including dehydration,  hormones, and genetics. It is also known as seborrhea and is caused by excess skin oil building up in the within the pores. If you have oily skin, we advise you to use a gentle cleanser and a toner to balance your skin PH. Also, it's very important to use a moisturiser to keep your skin hydrated.
Dry skin is caused by atopic dermatitis, also known as eczema. Although is not unusual, it's very uncomfortable because of its itchy feeling. Winter time makes it even more tricky, that's way is important to treat your skin with the right products such as gentle cleansing lotions, hydrating toners, and nourishing moisturisers.
Combination skin is the most common skin type. The main characteristic of combination skin is an oily T-zone and dry or normal cheeks and eyes area.
Again, dehydration is one of the major reasons for this imbalance, why is crucial to follow a consistent skin care regime which includes exfoliating cleanser, toner, and a moisturiser.
Sensitive skin requires dedicated skincare routine simply because the skin's natural barrier is extremely weak, which makes skin more prone to irritation, redness, itching, and flaking. Sensitive skin type needs special care so we advise you to use gentle skincare basics such as Aloe toner and hydrating moisturisers on a daily basis.
Don't forget, happy skin is a healthy skin!
